Lindquistringes for Jakob Winkelmann von Sohren

Text: Carolingian miniscule, reading:

Due commendations and greetings to the barons, lords, and gentles of Drachenwald from the king and queen, Marcus and Cecilia. By these presents let all know that the request of the populace and by our own wish, and in recognition of the deeds, the service he has rendered unto us, we offer to Jakob Winkelmann von Söhren entrance into our Orden des Lindquistringes and the right to bear the badge of the order, a ring formed of a wingless dragon Or maintaining in its mouth and claws a gem gules. Done this DAY of May, anno societatis xliv.

Completed Feb. 21 and Mar. 4. Paints: Talens gouache, gold, vermillion, carmine, black intenso, white, ultramarine light, and verdigris.

Dragon's Bowle for Matthewe Baker

Text:

Marcus by right of arms King of Drachenwald and Prince of Insula Draconis, and Cecilia our queen, to the barons, lords, and freemen of our domains, Greeting. Be it known that we have recognized the notable attention to authenticity of our faithful and well-beloved subject, Lord Matthew Baker, and grant to him entrance into our Order of the Dragon's Bowle, allowing him to bear the badge of the order, a dragon passant coward sable charged with a bowl per pale Or and gules. The text is based on The Letters Patents of King Henry the Seventh Granted unto Iohn Cabot and his Three Sonnes, Lewis, Sebastian and Sancius for the the Discouerie of New and Unknowen Lands and a letter from Henry VII to the dean and chapter of Wells, dated April 9, 1495.

Text: Carolingian miniscule, reading:

Scite his presentibus quod nos Marcus et Cecilia rex et regina Drachenwaldenses, agnitionis lubentis muni et boni exempli subiecti nostorum Helle filie Stigi altamus eam ad ordinem domine et tribuimus ei omnen jus tali armis prout deferet cum collegio armorum. Fit manibus nostris in xxi die Martii anno societatis xliii apud Attemark.

Translation:

Know by these presents that we, Marcus and Cecilia, king and queen of Drachenwald, in recognition of the cheerful service and good exemple of our subject Hella Stigsdottir raise her to the rank of lady and grant to her all rights to such arms as she will register with the College of Arms. Done by our hands in the 21st day of March, a.s. 43, at Attemark.

Paints: Talens gouache, gold, vermillion, carmine, black intenso, white, ultramarine light, and verdigris.

Ink: Ecoline sepia, with a Brause & Co. no. 180 iserlohn 3/4 mm nib.
